Discover a delicate, fruit-forward coffee from the mountains of Yunnan, China. Expect notes of Apricot and Raspberry, floral hints of Osmanthus, and a sweet finish reminiscent of Honey and Oolong tea.
With a cupping score of 87.5, this washed Sarchimor is a lovely choice for pour-over drinkers who enjoy a clean, balanced, tea-like cup.
Grown at 1,500–1,700 metres at Gao’s Coffee Estate in Menglian, this lot offers a taste of a young planting entering its fourth year of harvest. The estate focuses on soil health, sustainable farming and varietal development.
Its micro water-washed process is designed to bring out clarity and delicate flavour while using less water than traditional washed processing. Cherries are sorted by density and size, and pulp and discarded fruit are returned to the farm as natural fertiliser.
We selected this washed lot for its cleanliness and delicate expression of Yunnan’s terroir.
